Protecting your SmartRelay implementation from abuse
The following optional features are available to help protect your reputation against potential abuse by your own delivery systems:
- Inbound rate limiting at the SMTP listener
- Preconfigured From domains
For example, the domain used by your SMTP forwarder. - Maximum number of simultaneous SMTP sessions
- IP-based access control lists (ACLs)
- SSL encryption option
You can choose to enable SSL to encrypt the connection to SmartRelay. To guarantee the best security level, the client must use an explicit TLS connection (STARTTLS). Due to the encryption overhead occurs a little bit increase of latency during client-server communication. If you want to enable this option please contact our support.
